Phantasmagoria

A young man awakes by the sea, haunted by unknown yet familiar characters: a widowed mother, a lost fiancé, an Ophelia and an Ubuesque head master, each claiming a part of his life. Tossed and turned from one to the other, the young man clings to his one possession, his briefcase. July 2015 at the White Church Theatre Project.

At the intersection between the Lyric and the Burlesque lies the absurd world of Jean Tardieu's "Mister Sir", wherein we find two identical gentlemen, one being the shadow of the other.
